Mr Ahmed was appointed a Non-Executive Director
in April 2007 upon the completion of the Group's
Middle East joint venture with the Saudi Economic and
Development Co. Holding Ltd ("SEDCO Holding").
He has over 40 years of experience in the global
finance industry. Mr Ahmed was the Chief Executive
Officer of SEDCO Holding from August 2004 to
December 2007. Before SEDCO, he was the
Managing Director of Citigroup's Global Risk
Management and a member of Citibank's Credit
Policy Committee.
Presently, Mr Ahmed holds directorships in SEDCO
Holding, Dar Al Fouad Hospital in Eygpt, Pakistan Gum
& Chemicals Ltd, Saudi Equity Partners, Dubai and Elaf
Group, Jeddah.
Mr Ahmed holds a Master of Business Administration
from the Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan,
and a Master of Science in Management from the
Sloan School of MIT, USA. He is also a Sloan Fellow of
the MIT Sloan School of Management.
