Mr Ahmed was appointed a Non-Executive
Director on 10 April 2007 upon the
completion of the Group's Middle East joint
venture with the Saudi Economic and
Development Co. Ltd ("SEDCO"). He has
over 40 years of experience in the global
finance industry.
Mr Ahmed was the Chief Executive Officer
of SEDCO from August 2004 to December
2007. Before SEDCO, he was the
Managing Director of Citigroup's Global
Risk Management and a member of
Citibank's Credit Policy Committee.
Presently, Mr Ahmed holds directorships
in SEDCO, Atilim Kagit in Turkey, Dar Al
Fouad Hospitalin Eygpt and Pakistan Gum
& Chemicals Ltd.
Mr Ahmed holds a Master of Business
Administration from the Institute of
Business Administration, Pakistan, and a
Master of Science in Management from
the Sloan School of Management of MIT,
USA. He is a Sloan Fellow of the Sloan
School.
