Grand Hyatt Singapore, a 5 star luxury hotel with 663 rooms/suites,  located at the centre of Singapore’s commercial and entertainment district, provides an oasis for business and leisure travelers looking for comforts of a home when staying in Singapore.

We are proud to be selected to develop and install a trigeneration system, an environmentally sustainable solution for the Grand Hyatt Singapore as part of the 5-star hotel’s “going green strategy” to reduce its carbon footprint.

The “trigeneration” system, a more environmentally friendly than conventional electricity processes, will help hotel set new standards in environmental sustainability by significantly saving energy and lowering carbon emissions.

This smart energy solution allow for greater operational flexibility which is particularly relevant in commercial buildings like hotels where demands on diverse types of energy are typically very heavy.

“By maximising the use of energy resources, our customised green solution will produce the best efficiencies and eventually reduce Hyatt’s carbon footprint to set new standards in environmental sustainability,” he added.

Under the prominent agreement, CNA will replace the existing conventional steam boiler system with a turnkey trigen system.

A trigen system, defined in non-engineering terminology, converts "free energy" that would have been wasted by conventional electricity systems, into useful energy.

With a gas-driven engine, the trigen system which is sized to meet the main thermal requirements of the hotel will produce three different forms of energy namely hot water steam, dehumidification and electricity.
