Dr Ong was appointed Chief Executive Officer
of CNA China Co. Ltd in July 2005 and is
responsible for growing the Group’s business
in China as well as its financial and operational
performance. He joined the Group in July
1995 and held many senior management
appointments within the Group, including the
post of Deputy Chief Operating Officer, before
his current appointment.
Prior to joining the Group, Dr Ong was
a Group Leader at Chartered Semiconductor
Manufacturing Pte Ltd. Dr Ong holds a Ph.D
in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M
University and an Executive Master in Finance
from the City University of New York, both in
the USA. He is the brother of the Group
President and CEO, Mr Michael Ong.
